How many rabbits can I adopt from a shelter?
Question by : How many rabbits can I adopt from a shelter?
Me and my sister MIGHT get some rabbits one day. But I would like to know how many rabbits can live in one household legally? My sister and I were planning on getting 4 from SaveABunny foundation, two for me, two for her. But I know you can only have a certain amount of cats or dogs in a certain area. Wondering if this applies to rabbits? I live in California. Thanks!

Depends on where you live. Most places do not have restrictions on pets other than dogs/cats, but you may want to check your local laws just in case.

Like the first person said, check your local laws.
If you have never had rabbits before then I suggest only getting 1 or 2. They are a lot of work and are expensive. Its great you want to save 4 but if you cant care for them they could just end up back at the shelter. Do research before getting rabbits. Here are some great websites
